From the recording What the Heart Confides
In Her Heart is about personal liberation. Linda heard the melody and lyrics immediately upon awakening from a dream. Once Gregg added the chords and structure it naturally lent itself to a Nashville vibe.

Lyrics
In her heart she can see clearly
While her head might tell her no.
In her heart the world is moving
So very slow.
Wild things are hard to keep
They break down the doors of all we keep
Locked up so the world won’t see
In her heart.
In the day the world is moving
Way too fast
Yeah in the day people are saying
They want to find a way that will last.
Wild things are hard to keep
They break down the doors of all we keep
Locked up so the world won’t see
In her heart.
Climbing up ladders
With the wrung sown off
Can I climb any higher
To get to where I belong?
In her heart she awakens
To the beauty of the world outside
Yeah and she remembers
What it means to feel alive
Wild things are hard to keep
They break down the doors of all we keep
Locked up so the world will see
They’ll see, can you see me?
Wild things are hard to keep
They break down the doors of all we keep
Locked up so the world will see
In her heart
Yeah what’s in her heart
All that’s in her heart
Can you see what’s in her heart?
